The Ministry of Transportation announced today, Thursday, the arrival of the ship KSL FUYANG at the northern port of Um Qasr, coming from the port of Shanghai in the People's Republic of China. The ministry indicated that the ship was carrying massive quantities of oil and electrical equipment.
A statement from the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the General Company for Iraqi Ports received the ship KSL FUYANG, which docked at berth (17) in the northern port of Umm Qasr, carrying various shipments from the port of Shanghai in the People's Republic of China."
The statement added that "the shipment included specialized equipment for oil companies operating in Iraq, two massive electrical generators, each weighing (163) tons, as well as a quantity of oil pipes. The total number of pieces loaded on board the ship reached approximately (1350) pieces."
He pointed out that "handling and unloading operations are carried out according to well-thought-out operational plans and by adopting the latest technical methods, and receiving this type of high-quality shipment reflects the technical and logistical readiness that Iraq's ports enjoy in dealing with various goods."
