The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday that Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi will visit Iran at the end of this week and sign several memoranda of understanding in the field of joint cooperation.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Ministry said that "Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, Mohammad Hussein Bahr Al-Uloom, received the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadeq, at the Ministry's headquarters."
"The two sides discussed bilateral relations between Iraq and Iran, the agenda for the Prime Minister's upcoming visit to Tehran at the end of this week, and the ongoing preparations for the visit, including the signing of several memoranda of understanding in areas of joint cooperation, which will strengthen bilateral relations and serve the common interests of both countries," according to the statement.
