The Board of Trustees of the Iraqi Media Network on Monday praised the government’s efforts aimed at consolidating the rule of law and combating corruption.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Board commended “the government’s efforts to strengthen the rule of law and fight corruption,” lauding the ongoing “Dawn Operation” targeting individuals implicated in corruption cases and holding them accountable, describing it as “an important step toward safeguarding public funds and enhancing citizens’ confidence in state institutions.”
The statement added that the Board expressed its full support for the leadership of the Iraqi Media Network and its visual, audio, print, and digital media platforms in backing the national campaign “with professionalism and responsibility” since its inception.
The Board also called for continued prioritization of the campaign through comprehensive media coverage and by highlighting the importance of combating corruption and promoting a culture of integrity and transparency, thereby supporting state efforts to enforce the law and protect the resources of the Iraqi people.
According to the statement, the Board stressed that “national media is a key partner in the reform process and bears responsibility for raising public awareness and supporting every legal measure aimed at eradicating corruption and drying up its sources, in a manner that serves the public interest and strengthens the process of state-building and institutional consolidation based on justice and the rule of law.”
