Karbala governor says the fallen object was drone, denies aircraft crash reports

Karbala Governor Naseef Jassim Al-Khattabi said on Sunday that the object which fell in the province was a drone, denying reports of a passenger aircraft crash in the area.

In a brief statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Al-Khattabi said there was “no truth” to claims that a passenger aircraft had fallen in the desert of Karbala, adding that the object in question was a drone.
