Masrour Barzani Extends Condolences Over Passing of Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq al-Fayyadh

The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, offered on Thursday condolences on the passing of senior religious authority Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq al-Fayyadh.

In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Barzani said: “We extend our sincere condolences and sympathy to the Supreme Religious Authority, as well as to all Iraqis and Muslims, on the passing of His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq al-Fayyadh.”

He added: “We ask Almighty God to envelop the deceased in His vast mercy, and to grant his family and loved ones patience and solace. To God we belong and to Him we shall return.”
