United Nations Extends Condolences Over the Passing of Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq al-Fayadh

The United Nations has expressed its condolences over the death of prominent religious authority Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq al-Fayadh.

In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) on Thursday, the organization said: “The United Nations extends its sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the religious authorities in Iraq and to the Iraqi people on the passing of the great religious authority, Grand Ayatollah Muhammad Ishaq al-Fayadh.”

The statement added that “the United Nations hopes that his legacy of wisdom and moderation will inspire future generations, and prays that God grants his family and loved ones patience and solace.”
