The Kirkuk Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism Agency announced on Monday the arrest of a suspect in a murder and kidnapping case in Sweden.
A statement from the intelligence agency, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "detachments of the intelligence agency specializing in combating terrorism in Kirkuk Governorate arrested an accused of murder and kidnapping in Sweden, after receiving information indicating his presence in the governorate."
It added that "the detachments immediately began intensifying intelligence efforts and field follow-up, which enabled them to arrest him and hand him over to the relevant authorities to complete the legal procedures against him."
