The Holy Shrine of Imam Ali announced today, Monday, the raising of the blessed Ghadir banner, signaling the start of the fifteenth edition of Ghadir Week activities.
The head of the Media Department at the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali, Haider Rahim, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Holy Shrine of Imam Ali in Najaf witnessed the raising of the blessed Ghadir banner, marking the launch of the 15th International Ghadir Week."
He added that "the banner-raising ceremony represents the official start of a wide range of events, festivals, and celebrations that will be held in various Iraqi provinces and a number of countries around the world participating in commemorating this occasion."
He pointed out that "these events will witness a wide popular, official, community and religious presence from the Najaf Governorate and various Iraqi governorates that were invited to participate in these blessed ceremonies."
