Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi affirmed today, Thursday, that granting confidence to the government reflects the highest national interest, the spirit of partnership, and responsibility.
In a post on the (X) platform, which was monitored by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), al-Zaidi said: "I extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to the Council of Representatives and the national political forces for granting confidence to the government, in a stance that embodies the highest national interest, the spirit of partnership, and responsibility."
He added, "This confidence represents a great trust and a pledge to our dear people, that we will move steadily towards consolidating stability, strengthening the prestige of the state, and achieving the aspirations of Iraqis for development, justice, and a dignified life."
The Council of Representatives voted today, Thursday, to grant confidence to the government of Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi and its ministerial program.
