President Nizar Amidi affirmed today, Thursday, that the vote on the cabinet is a pivotal national milestone and a crucial constitutional step.
Amidi stated in a post on the (X) platform, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Parliament's vote on the cabinet is a pivotal national milestone and a crucial constitutional step towards consolidating political stability, strengthening Iraq's security and sovereignty, and unifying efforts to confront current challenges and fulfill obligations."
He added, "We congratulate Ali al-Zaidi and the ministers on gaining the confidence of the esteemed Parliament," noting, "We look forward to the completion of the cabinet as soon as possible, ensuring the effective implementation of the government program and the realization of the Iraqi people's aspirations."
He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to "Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani and the members of his government for their efforts during the past period and their dedication to managing their responsibilities and serving our people."
