The Civil Defense Directorate announced on Friday that emergency teams have achieved total containment of a fire at Azadi Hospital in the Kirkuk Governorate, reporting no casualties.
In an official statement issued to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Directorate confirmed that "Civil Defense units in Kirkuk managed to fully control a fire that broke out within the Azadi Teaching Hospital in record time."
The Directorate further noted that its personnel "responded to the incident immediately upon its occurrence, successfully extinguishing the fire and preventing further spread."
The statement emphasized that no fatalities or injuries were documented among either the medical staff or the hospitalized patients.
