Lebanon army chief heads to Pakistan amid Iran war mediation
Lebanon’s army commander is travelling to Pakistan, the Lebanese military says, as Islamabad continues its push to help end the US-Israel war on Iran.
General Rudolf Haykal is making the visit at the invitation of his Pakistani counterpart, Field Marshal Asim Munir.
The trip comes as Pakistan works to mediate talks aimed at stopping the war, with Israel’s ongoing attacks on Lebanon among the key points of tension.
