The Ministry of Oil discussed developments in the East Baghdad field and the Qurnayn exploration block on Wednesday.
The office of the Undersecretary for Extraction Affairs stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Extraction Affairs, Naseer Aziz, received a delegation from the Chinese company Zhenhua Oil, headed by Ma Chang."
The statement explained that "the meeting addressed the latest developments in the company's work at the East Baghdad oil field and the Qurnayn exploration block, and reviewed the progress of ongoing development operations."
For his part, the representative of the Chinese company presented a summary of its implementation plans for developing the field and the exploration block according to the approved timelines, emphasizing "the company's keenness to expand and strengthen cooperation with the Ministry of Oil."
