The Iraqi News Agency (INA) correspondent reported today, Thursday, that the prominent religious authority, Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq Al-Fayadh, has passed away following a prolonged battle with a terminal illness.
In an official statement, the office of the late Grand Ayatollah mourned his passing, highlighting that he dedicated his blessed life to serving Islam, teaching religious sciences, and mentoring generations of scholars and jurists. The statement also emphasized his lifelong commitment to spreading the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and clarifying Islamic jurisprudence.
The office further noted that his death represents a profound loss for Islamic seminaries and the global Muslim community, owing to his revered scholarly stature and the rich legacy of religious literature he leaves behind.
Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq Al-Fayadh was widely recognized as one of the most eminent religious authorities in the holy city of Najaf and a leading pillar of its Islamic seminary.
