Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi said on Tuesday that the government is working to ensure that every eligible Iraqi family without property ownership receives a residential land plot.
Speaking during a Cabinet session, Al-Zaidi said the government is pursuing plans to provide residential land to Iraqi families in need that do not own any real estate, through various development models and in cooperation with the private sector.
He added that business leaders, alongside the state and companies affiliated with the Ministries of Oil and Electricity, would contribute through social benefit initiatives aimed at providing infrastructure and services for the land plots before they are distributed to citizens.
