Justice Minister Khalid Shawani directed on Monday the restructuring of the notary public offices in Baghdad.

A statement from the Ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "within the framework of the Ministry of Justice's vision aimed at rationalizing spending, developing the work environment, combating administrative inefficiency, improving the level of services provided to citizens, and preventing corruption, the Minister of Justice, Khalid Shawani, directed the adoption of a package of organizational and administrative measures, including a comprehensive rotation of notaries public in Baghdad, to be later extended to include the governorates, in order to contribute to raising the efficiency of performance and enhancing transparency in work."

It added that "the Minister of Justice has instructed that a comprehensive evaluation be conducted of the performance of the departments, measuring the level of achievement in them, improving institutional performance, and developing the quality of judicial services provided to citizens."

As part of rationalizing spending and reorganizing work, the minister directed “the restructuring of some notary public departments according to actual need, with an emphasis on developing the infrastructure of existing buildings and conducting a comprehensive evaluation of them, in line with the ministry’s directions in digital transformation and the application of the automation system, and providing a modern work environment that contributes to accelerating the completion of transactions, raising performance efficiency, and improving the level of services provided to citizens.”
