The Joint Operations Command (JOC) announced on Monday that it had bombed six terrorist hideouts in Wadi Zaghitoun, within the Kirkuk Operations Command area.
JOC stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the heroic security forces, with all their formations and branches, continue to pursue the remnants of the failed terrorism and destroy its dens wherever they are found, affirming the pledge to preserve the security and stability of the homeland."
It added, "Based on accurate and confirmed intelligence information received from the Iraqi National Intelligence Service and the Counter-Terrorism Service, and with optimal supervision and planning by the targeting cell in the Joint Operations Command, an airborne force of heroes in the Special Forces carried out a swift security operation at dawn today, Monday."
It added, "Field operations resulted in the identification of six terrorist hideouts in the Wadi Zaghitoun area, within the Kirkuk Operations Command sector, the brave pilots of the Army Aviation then targeted them with precise airstrikes."
It noted that "the heroes of the Special Forces began searching the targeted area and completely destroying the remaining hideouts," emphasizing that "the operation to sweep and clear the area is ongoing."
