Transport Minister Wahab Al-Hassani discussed on Tuesday, with the Jordanian ambassador increasing flights and opening an office for the Kingdom Airlines in Baghdad.

A statement from the Ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), indicated that "Minister of Transport Wahab al-Hassani received the Jordanian Ambassador to Baghdad, Maher al-Tarawneh, to follow up on previous discussions with the Jordanian Minister of Transport."

According to the statement "al-Hassani expressed his readiness to provide support and assistance to ensure the success of increasing the number of flights between the two countries. The Jordanian side's request to finalize the procedures for opening a Royal Jordanian Airlines office in Baghdad, similar to the Iraqi Airways office in Amman, was also discussed, in addition to exploring ways to enhance cooperation in the field of land transport to serve the common interests of Iraq and Jordan."

For his part, "the Jordanian Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and the Ministry's keen interest in strengthening cooperation to achieve the common interests of both countries."
