Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Wednesday that his country remains steadfast in defending the rights of the Iranian people.
“We stand firm in defending our rights,” Pezeshkian said in remarks monitored by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
His comments came after U.S. President Donald Trump said earlier on Wednesday that the United States had carried out powerful strikes against Iran, adding that he believed the memorandum of understanding with Tehran had ended and that he did not want to engage with Iranian officials.
