The state of Qatar on Wednesday strongly condemned the repeated Iranian attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait.
In a statement issued by the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs and followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the ministry said that “the State of Qatar strongly condemns the repeated Iranian attacks on the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, considering them a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the two countries and a flagrant breach of the principles of international law.”
The ministry stressed the need to spare the region the consequences of “unjustified attacks,” emphasizing the importance of continuing along the path of dialogue and diplomacy, reducing escalation, and building on the achievements made under the memorandum of understanding, in a way that contributes to strengthening security and stability at both the regional and international levels.
The ministry also renewed Qatar’s “full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait,” and expressed its support for all measures taken by the two countries to safeguard their sovereignty and security.
