Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi has directed that substantial financial rewards be granted to informants who report assets and public funds obtained through corruption crimes.

The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi calls on all citizens to report any assets or public funds obtained through corruption crimes, in order to assist in their detection, recovery, and return to the state. This call stems from the religious, moral, and national responsibility of all citizens and reflects the Prime Minister’s commitment to safeguarding public funds, in line with the government’s ministerial program."

It added that "the Prime Minister has directed that informants be granted substantial financial rewards in accordance with the law, in recognition of their national role and in support of efforts to combat corruption and protect public funds. A dedicated reporting link for this purpose will be announced at a later date."
