National Security Advisor Qasim al-Aboudi affirmed on Thursday that the government is committed to strengthening its policy of openness and cooperation with all countries of the world.
The National Security Advisor's media office stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "National Security Advisor Qasim al-Aboudi received the Italian Ambassador to Iraq, Nicolò Fontana. During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and expand the horizons of joint cooperation in various fields."
The statement added that "the Iraqi government is committed to strengthening its policy of openness and cooperation with all countries of the world, particularly the countries of the European Union, and to working on building effective strategic partnerships with them, especially in the economic, investment, and security fields, as well as developing cooperation in the exchange of information and expertise and combating terrorism, in a way that contributes to supporting security and stability and achieving common interests."
