Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi said on Tuesday that the historic 1920 Revolution represented the 1920 Revolution, a defining chapter in Iraq’s history that helped shape the modern Iraqi state and strengthen its independence and standing among nations.
“With pride and honor, we commemorate the 106th anniversary of the 1920 Revolution, a defining chapter in Iraq’s history that helped shape the modern Iraqi state and strengthen its independence and standing among nations,” PM Al-Zaidi posted on X , followed by The Iraqi News Agency-INA.
He added,"The 1920 Revolution embodied the unity and determination of the Iraqi people, who rose together to defend their homeland, inspired by the patriotic leadership and historic fatwas of the Supreme Religious Authority that ignited the spirit of resistance and reinforced the principle of national sovereignty".
He also stated that “As we mark this cherished anniversary, we reaffirm our commitment to building a strong and stable Iraq, strengthening the authority of the state and the rule of law, combating corruption, advancing development and prosperity, and ensuring a dignified life for all Iraqis”.
