President Nizar Amedi met today, Sunday, with Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Qubad Talabani, to emphasize the importance of continuing dialogue and coordination between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government.

The Presidential Media Office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "President Nizar Amedi received Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Qubad Talabani, at the Peace Palace in Baghdad."

"The meeting addressed a number of issues and files related to local affairs, as well as developments in the regional situation. Emphasis was placed on the importance of continuing dialogue and coordination between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to support paths of understanding and cooperation, thereby strengthening national unity and preserving the rights of all citizens."

According to the statement, the President emphasized "the importance of building upon the common understandings achieved, and continuing responsible dialogue in a way that strengthens mutual trust and creates a suitable environment for addressing outstanding issues, and transforming them into practical steps that contribute to addressing existing files and support stability and development plans."
