The Head of Al Nasr Coalition, Haider al-Abadi, announced on Sunday his support for the state authorities' measures to pursue corruption and corrupt individuals.
In a post on the X platform, which was monitored by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), al-Abadi said, "I strongly support the state authorities' measures to pursue corruption and corrupt individuals," calling for "their continuation and strengthening in order to achieve truth and justice, and to protect the people and the state."
Al-Abadi also called for two essential things:
First, the fight against corruption must be comprehensive and continuous, not subject to political balances or narrow interests, and everyone must be held to the same standard.
Second, these measures should be part of a structural reform project for the political system, ending chaos, sectarianism, and cronyism and establishing a state of institutions and the rule of law."
Al-Abadi concluded by calling on everyone to "support these measures, in support of reform, and to consolidate legal, national, and moral integrity."
