Baghdad-INA

Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) announced on Thursday the arrest of a suspect wanted by the judiciary in Baghdad.

In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the PMF's media office said that units from the General Directorate of Security and Discipline, represented by the Directorate of Investigations and Preventive Security, arrested one of the individuals wanted by the Iraqi judiciary inside the capital, Baghdad, after obtaining the necessary judicial warrants.

The statement said the operation was based on precise intelligence and followed a lengthy security effort that involved tracking and monitoring the suspect's movements across several areas in Anbar province before he arrived in Baghdad.

The PMF units were able to accurately determine the suspect's location and successfully carry out the arrest operation, the statement added.

The detainee has been handed over to the relevant authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures in accordance with the law.
