The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its deepest solidarity and sincere condolences to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on Thursday, following the two earthquakes that struck the country.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Ministry said: "We express our deepest solidarity and sincere condolences to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela following the two earthquakes that struck the country, resulting in a number of deaths and injuries, as well as significant material damage to the affected areas."
The statement added: "As the Republic of Iraq shares the grief of the government and people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela during this painful time, it affirms its support for Venezuela and its full solidarity in facing the aftermath of this disaster."
The statement continued: "The Ministry also extends its heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathies to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured."
