President Nizar Amedi received on Wesnesday, a delegation from the Salahuddin Provincial Council at Baghdad Palace, headed by Council Chairman Adel Abdul Salam Al-Sumaidaie, as discussions focused on the overall situation in Salahuddin Governorate, including key development and service needs.

The Media Department of the Presidency of the Republic stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA),"The meeting reviewed infrastructure projects aimed at improving public services, alongside the main challenges facing the local administration and ways to address them."

It added,”Salahuddin Governorate remains an important pillar in Iraq’s path toward reconstruction and stability,” President Amedi said, stressing the need to “support efforts to implement strategic projects, accelerate reconstruction and expand essential services to improve citizens’ daily lives and meet their aspirations.”

President Amedi highlighted,” the governorate’s economic and agricultural potential, stressing the need to create favorable conditions to attract further investment and generate employment opportunities,” He called for greater cooperation among national forces in support of stability, development efforts and projects that directly serve the people of the governorate.”

For their part, members of the Salahuddin Provincial Council praised President Amedi’s support for Iraq’s provinces, reaffirming their commitment to continued coordination and joint efforts aimed at overcoming existing challenges, prioritizing the public interest and advancing further progress in the governorate’s service and development sectors.
