The Head of Iraq's Martyrs Foundation Abdul-Ilah Al-Naili, on Friday reaffirmed the institution's support for Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi's directives aimed at safeguarding the rights of martyrs and preserving their legacy.
Al-Naili said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that the prime minister's remarks marking the anniversary of the Camp Speicher Massacre reflected the state's commitment to honoring the sacrifices of martyrs and caring for their families.
He noted that the prime minister's emphasis on guaranteeing the legal, financial, and moral rights of martyrs' relatives represented important support for efforts to assist a segment of society that had made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of Iraq and its people.
Al-Naili added that Iraq's martyrs, particularly the victims of the Camp Speicher massacre, had set enduring examples of sacrifice and dedication, underscoring the need to continue efforts to preserve their memory, protect the rights of their families, and instill their national values in future generations.
He stressed that the Martyrs Foundation would continue fulfilling its responsibilities toward martyrs' families in recognition of the sacrifices that contributed to protecting Iraq and preserving its security and stability.
