INA-Follow-up

The U.S. military has begun carrying out strikes against Iran, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Wednesday.

In a statement followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), CENTCOM said U.S. forces launched airstrikes on Iran at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday in response to the downing of an Apache helicopter.

"The mission is a ​proportional response to unjustified Iranian aggression," Central ‌Command ⁠said in a statement.
