The Military Intelligence Directorate announced on Wednesday the arrest of 10 drug dealers and traffickers in Baghdad.
Military intelligence stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that, "In accordance with directives from higher authorities and the Director of Military Intelligence regarding the necessity of exchanging information and coordinating with all security forces within the Baghdad Operations Command to eradicate the scourge of drugs and arrest drug dealers and traffickers,"
It added, "Based on precise intelligence, checkpoints were established, and the Intelligence and Security Department of the Baghdad Operations Command, in coordination with other security agencies and through military intelligence personnel, was able to arrest 10 drug dealers and traffickers in various areas of the capital, Baghdad."
It added, "Various narcotic substances were seized from them, and they were handed over along with the substances in accordance with the law."
