Lebanese Foreign Ministry: We Received French Notification Regarding an Emergency Security Council Session

The Lebanese Foreign Ministry announced today, Sunday, that it has received notification from the French side regarding a move to convene an emergency session of the UN Security Council, in light of the (Israeli) escalation.

The ministry said in a statement that "France will request an emergency session of the UN Security Council, given the ongoing (Israeli) escalation in Lebanon and the expansion of military operations and evacuation orders."
