Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi affirmed on Sunday to the Chargé d'Affaires of the United States Embassy in Iraq, Joshua Harris, the importance of prioritizing dialogue and diplomacy in resolving conflicts and establishing security and stability in the region.

The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi received Joshua Harris, Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Iraq, where they discussed prospects for cooperation between the two countries and ways to develop and expand relations in all fields, particularly economic, investment, and cultural, based on mutual respect and shared interests, in a manner that serves the interests of both friendly countries."

According to the statement, al-Zaidi emphasized "the necessity of constructive communication between the two countries and the continuation of joint work within the framework of the Strategic Framework Agreement and bilateral memoranda of understanding. He also stressed the commitment of both sides to strengthening partnership and coordination on various bilateral and regional issues, and to prioritizing dialogue and diplomacy in resolving conflicts and establishing security and stability in the region."

For his part, the US Chargé d'Affaires expressed his country's appreciation for Iraq's efforts to strengthen bilateral partnerships in various fields, praising its pivotal role and its efforts to support regional security and stability.
