Follow-up – INA
Qatar’s Emir, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and U.S. President Donald Trump discussed on Thursday developments in the Middle East and efforts aimed at de-escalation and enhancing stability in the region.
The Qatari Amiri Diwan said in a statement followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that the Emir of Qatar received a phone call from Trump during which they reviewed the latest developments in the Middle East.
The statement added that the Emir stressed during the conversation the importance of prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions and dialogue among all parties in order to consolidate regional security and stability.
It further noted that Trump expressed appreciation for Qatar’s role in bringing viewpoints closer together and advancing de-escalation efforts in the region.
