President Nizar Amidi emphasized on Monday the importance of pursuing all avenues to consolidate peace and strengthen the state's authority and sovereignty.
"Iraqi engineers have been present in the fields of reconstruction and development, despite the exceptional circumstances Iraq has faced, and have proven their ability to achieve and excel both domestically and internationally," President Amidi stated in a speech commemorating Iraqi Engineers Day, the anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi Engineers Syndicate, as reported by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
The President stressed "the importance of pursuing all avenues to consolidate peace, strengthen the state's authority and sovereignty, improve financial policies, and revitalize the economy," adding, "We are going through an exceptional historical period that requires national responsibility and the combined efforts of unions, universities, the private sector, and state institutions to support the government's efforts in various fields."
"Throughout history, Iraqi engineers have been present in the fields of reconstruction and development, despite the exceptional challenges and circumstances Iraq has faced, proving their ability to achieve and excel, both domestically and internationally," he added.
Amidi highlighted, "In our country today, the need for engineers in all their specializations is fundamental to building a robust economy, a developed infrastructure, and addressing the challenges posed by climate change."
"Iraqis understand the importance of this exceptional historical moment, which underscores the need for national responsibility and the combined efforts of unions, universities, the private sector, and state institutions to support and strengthen the government's efforts in various fields and build a future worthy of our people," he underscored.
