PM, the Speaker of Parliament emphasize continuing dialogue to complete the formation of the government

Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi met on Wednesday with the Speaker of the Parliament, Haybat Hamad Al-Halbousi.

The meeting discussed “the overall situation in the country,” emphasizing "the importance of integrated cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities in advancing legislation that supports the implementation of the government program’s priorities and fulfills the aspirations of the Iraqi people,” according to a statement from the PM Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

Both sides stressed “the importance of national unity and sustaining dialogue and understanding among political forces,” prioritizing “the higher national interest, to complete the ministerial cabinet and enable the government to carry out its constitutional duties, thereby strengthening the path of reform and development, improving service delivery, and meeting the requirements of the current stage.”
