Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein emphasized to the European Union Ambassador, Clemens Semtner, on Wednesday, the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation and developing joint coordination mechanisms to serve mutual interests.

The Ministry stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received the European Union Ambassador to the Republic of Iraq, Clemens Semtner, accompanied by a number of European ambassadors accredited to Iraq, at the Ministry building, who offered their congratulations to the Minister on the renewal of confidence in him as Foreign Minister."

During the meeting, the Foreign Minister reviewed the Iraqi government's vision and priorities for the coming period, particularly regarding shared issues with the European Union. He emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation and developing joint coordination mechanisms to serve mutual interests.

He also addressed the Iraqi government's international priorities, outlining Iraq's position on current regional developments and the government's efforts to support security and stability and enhance regional and international dialogue and cooperation.
