Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi and British Ambassador to Iraq Irfan Siddiq emphasized on Wednesday the importance of strengthening cooperation and enhancing partnerships, which will open new horizons for integration and serve common interests.
The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi received British Ambassador to Iraq Irfan Siddiq."
The statement added that "during the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed, and the importance of strengthening cooperation and enhancing partnerships was emphasized, which will open new horizons for integration and serve common interests."
The statement continued, "The meeting addressed the latest developments in the region, stressing the importance of concerted regional and international efforts to reduce tensions and adopt dialogue as a fundamental option to spare the region the dangers and repercussions of war, and to contribute to strengthening regional and international security."
