Amidi Receives a Congratulatory Telegram From the Pope of the Vatican

President Nizar Amidi received a congratulatory message on Tuesday from Pope Leo XIV.

The Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “President Nizar Amidi received a congratulatory message from Pope Leo XIV, in which the Pope extended his warmest congratulations and best wishes to the President on assuming the office of President of the Republic.”

“The Pope expressed in his message his confidence that God would grant the President steadfastness and wisdom for the good of the people and prayed that He would bestow upon him and all Iraqis blessings, prosperity, and peace,” the statement added.
