Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi met today, Tuesday, with the President of the Republic, Mr. Nizar Amedi, who extended his congratulations on the government gaining the confidence of the Council of Representatives and on the formation of the new government.
Media office of the prime minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency INA that “The meeting reviewed the overall situation in Iraq and discussed the importance of supporting the government in implementing its ministerial program and development plans in a manner that improves the country’s service and economic sectors and meets the needs of all citizens.”
The statement added that “The meeting also emphasized the importance of continued coordination and cooperation among the four Presidencies to preserve stability and strengthen joint efforts in the service of the country.”
