The Ministry of Interior announced today, Tuesday, its comprehensive security plan for the upcoming Eid al-Adha, outlining strict measures to ensure public safety and order.

Speaking at a press conference attended by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Major General Miqdad Miri, Head of the Relations and Media Department at the Ministry of Interior, stated: "The security deployment for Eid will feature a widespread presence of patrol police and intelligence assets, alongside tightened security measures around holy shrines, mosques, husseiniyas, and cemeteries."

He added, "Speed radars will be fully operational to monitor highway traffic," urging drivers to strictly adhere to legal speed limits.

Major General Miri further noted, "Specialized task forces have been formed to tackle negative behaviors, most notably harassment. Additionally, the firing of celebratory gunfire and firecrackers is strictly prohibited, and violators will face immediate legal action."
