Baghdad –INA
Health Minister Abdul Hussein Al-Moussawi ordered on Saturday the formation of a joint investigative committee into contamination cases at health institutions in Najaf Province.
The Health Ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that the move came “based on what was presented by journalist Haider Al-Hamdani regarding the existence of contamination cases in water used at a number of health institutions in holy Najaf.”
It added that “Health Minister Dr. Abdul Hussein Al-Moussawi directed the formation of a joint investigative committee from the Inspection Department, the Public Health Department, and the Najaf Health Department, along with a specialized scientific team from the Central Public Health Laboratory, to determine the facts regarding what was presented and to take the necessary measures related to the Health Ministry, as well as coordinate with the other concerned ministries and authorities.”
