The National Political Council on Monday stressed the importance of expediting the formation of the new government.
According to a statement issued by the media office of Taqaddum Progress Party and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the National Political Council held an expanded meeting on Monday evening attended by the council’s leadership and members of the parliamentary bloc.
The statement said the meeting discussed the latest political developments and stressed the importance of swiftly forming the new government.
It added that the meeting also discussed the political agreement paper and the ministerial program.
