President Nizar Amidi agreed on Thursday with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Bangladeshi President Mohammad Shahabuddin to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Iraq across various fields.
The Iraqi Presidency’s Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “President Nizar Amidi received a congratulatory message from Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on the occasion of assuming the presidency of Iraq.”
“The Algerian president, in his message, expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes to His Excellency the President for continued health and success in fulfilling his national duties in service of the Iraqi people, emphasizing Algeria’s commitment to strengthening the historic bonds of brotherhood and solidarity between the two countries,” the statement added.
According to the statement, President Tebboune also expressed his country’s readiness to work with Iraq to strengthen cooperation and partnership in various fields in a manner that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples and enhances stability and development in the region.
In a related development, the Iraqi Presidency’s Media Office said in another statement that President Nizar Amidi received a congratulatory message from Bangladeshi President Mohammad Shahabuddin on the occasion of assuming office.
“The Bangladeshi president praised the existing relations with Iraq, recalled Iraq’s role in recognizing Bangladesh, and expressed hope for strengthening bilateral cooperation in various fields,” the statement continued.
