Prime Minister-designate Ali Faleh al-Zaidi discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and joint efforts to address various challenges in a phone call with King Abdullah II of Jordan on Sunday.

A statement issued by the Prime Minister's Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), indicated that "Prime Minister-designate Ali Faleh al-Zaidi received a phone call from King Abdullah II of Jordan, who congratulated him on his official appointment to form the new government."

The statement added that "the call addressed ways to enhance bilateral relations and everything that achieves mutual interests between Iraq and Jordan, as well as joint efforts to confront various challenges."
