The Ministry of Health announced on Monday that 1,133 cases of suffocation were recorded during the recent dust storm.

"1,133 cases of suffocation were recorded during the recent dust storm in several governorates. No deaths were recorded," said the Ministry Spokesman Saif Al-Badr to the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

He added that "the cases of suffocation ranged from mild to moderate," indicating that "most of the cases have been discharged from hospitals and health centers."

"The highest number of suffocation cases was recorded in Muthanna Governorate with 576 cases, followed by Najaf with 300 cases, and Baghdad with 200 cases," he said, pointing out that "all cases received full medical services, including emergency care, health treatment, and follow-up."
