The Iraqi Drilling Company announced on Monday the completion of drilling operations for the Noor-19 oil well at the Noor oil field in Maysan Province.
According to a statement issued by the company’s media office and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the company’s technical and engineering teams successfully completed drilling the Noor-19 oil well for the Maysan Oil Company using the IDC-23 drilling rig, reaching a depth of 4,151 meters. The statement noted that the achievement was carried out in line with the directives of Oil Minister Bassem Mohammed Khudair Al-Abadi and under the supervision of the Director General of the Iraqi Drilling Company, Mohammed Hantoush Asad Al-Azirjawi.
Al-Azirjawi said the achievement forms part of the company’s operational program aimed at executing drilling projects across Iraq’s oil fields, affirming the company’s commitment to completing projects in accordance with the highest technical standards and approved timelines, thereby supporting the Ministry of Oil’s plans to expand production and enhance operational efficiency.
He added that the completion of the well reflects the Iraqi Drilling Company’s ongoing efforts to implement drilling projects by leveraging its technical capabilities and accumulated expertise, reinforcing its position as Iraq’s leading national company in oil well drilling and workover operations.
