The Iraqi Association of Travel and Tourism Companies announced on Tuesday a visit to the country by a delegation from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) for the Middle East.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the association said, "As part of efforts to enhance the Iraqi tourism sector and promote openness at the regional and international levels, the board of directors of the Iraqi Association of Travel and Tourism Companies received a high-level delegation from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) for the Middle East, represented by the association's Regional Director for the Gulf and Near East, Mohammed Ibish, and Diala Halasa, the regional director for distribution and financial services."
"The meeting discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and partnership between IATA and the association, with the aim of developing the operational mechanisms of Iraqi institutions by leveraging IATA's accumulated expertise," the statement added.
