Iraqi President Nizar Amidi said on Sunday that Iraq is seeking to build the strongest possible strategic relationship with Saudi Arabia across all sectors, stressing that limiting the possession of weapons to the state remains the government’s top priority. In an interview with Al Arabiya, Amidi said Saudi Arabia plays a major role in the region, describing the Kingdom as a neighbouring country with an active and influential economic role.
