The Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service on Sunday mourned Lieutenant Hassan Khudhair, who was martyred in clashes with ISIS terrorist gangs in Kirkuk.
ICTS Commander, Karim al-Tamimi, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "On my own behalf and on behalf of the heroes of the Counter-Terrorism Service, I mourn to our Iraqi people, with profound sorrow and grief, the martyrdom of First Lieutenant Hassan Khudhair Zughair, who attained the honor of martyrdom in defense of our beloved homeland during clashes with ISIS terrorist gangs in Kirkuk province."
He added that "the heroes of our service have spared no effort in cleansing our beloved land from the clutches of these terrorist gangs, with the aim of achieving a safe and stable Iraq whose people live in pride and dignity."
He concluded: "I ask Almighty Allah to envelop the martyr in His vast mercy and to grant his family, relatives, and fellow servicemen patience and solace."
